Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Task Management (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our task and project management application (the “App”), including collaboration features such as teams, projects, tasks, sprints, departments, calendars, attachments, and corporate workspaces.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the App, we may collect the following categories of information:

a. Account and profile information

  • Name and contact details (such as email and phone number, if provided)
  • Authentication credentials and security information used to sign in (including identifiers you use with your organization)
  • Role, permissions, and organizational identifiers assigned by your company or administrator
  • Preferences such as language, theme, and notification settings
  • Profile image or avatar if you choose to upload one

b. Work and collaboration content

  • Projects, teams, departments, tasks, comments, statuses, and assignments you or your organization create in the App
  • Sprints, calendars, and scheduling data linked to your work
  • Files and attachments you upload to tasks or projects (subject to your organization’s policies)
  • Activity necessary to operate features (for example, audit or history where enabled by your plan)

c. Device and technical information

  • Device type, operating system version, and app version
  • Diagnostic and crash data to improve stability (for example via Firebase Crashlytics)
  • Push notification tokens if you enable notifications (for example via Firebase Cloud Messaging)
  • Network and approximate connection metadata needed to connect to our servers securely

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the App and your account
  • Authenticate you, enforce access rules, and support corporate or multi-workspace features (such as switching organization context where applicable)
  • Display and sync tasks, projects, teams, and related data across your devices
  • Send service-related messages, reminders, and (if you opt in) marketing or product updates
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve security and reliability
  • Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests
  • Detect, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, or technical problems

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only as described below:

  • With your employer or organization when you use the App under a company account, as directed by that organization’s administrator
  • With service providers who assist us in hosting, infrastructure, email delivery, analytics, or similar operations, subject to appropriate safeguards
  • When required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, us, or others

4. Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Your organization may have its own retention rules when you use a corporate workspace. You may request deletion of your account where applicable law allows.

5. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit (such as HTTPS), access controls, and secure handling of authentication tokens on your device. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we work to reduce risk and respond to incidents promptly.

6. Third-party services

The App may use third-party SDKs or services, which have their own privacy practices, for example:

  • Google Firebase (e.g., Crashlytics for crash reporting, Cloud Messaging for push notifications), subject to Google’s policies
  • Other providers used for hosting, storage, or analytics as integrated with our backend

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can often update profile information in the App. You may also contact us or use in-app account deletion (if available) to exercise your rights. If your data is controlled by an organization, that organization’s administrator may need to approve certain requests.

8. Children

The App is not intended for children under the age where parental consent is required for processing personal data in your region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this URL (or in the App) and may notify you by reasonable means (such as an in-app notice or email) when changes are material. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Contact us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us at privacy@taskmanagement.com or through the support options in the App. If you use a corporate account, your organization’s administrator may provide the appropriate contact.
